Since 2014, S.O.S. Counseling has been a trusted partner in mental health care for the Grand Island community. Founded by Cindy Kissack and Jenna Davis, our practice brings together decades of experience in supporting individuals and families through life's challenges.
We specialize in working with at-risk youth and families, addressing conditions such as ADHD, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. Our collaborative approach involves working closely with school systems, probation services, DHHS, and other formal support networks.

With 28+ years of experience, Cindy has dedicated her career to helping families thrive. She graduated from Wayne State College in 1997 and earned her Master's Degree in Community Counseling from UNK in 2007.
As co-owner of S.O.S. Counseling since 2014, Jenna brings extensive experience in mental health care. She specializes in working with adolescents and families facing complex challenges.
Trey graduated from UNL in 2023 with his master's in Educational Psychology. He offers counseling in English and Spanish, utilizing CBT, ACT, and Goal-Focused Positive Psychology.
Alisha earned her BSW from UNK (2022) and MSW from UNO (2025). Her background includes Child Protective Services, case management, and hospice care. She is working toward her PLDAC licensure.
Born and raised in Grand Island, Shayla earned her Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science from Bellevue University in 2023. She is pursuing her degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and works with adolescents and families to achieve their therapeutic goals.
Brandon brings more than 15 years of hands-on experience in behavioral health, youth mentorship, and community-based support. His background spans crisis intervention, peer counseling, substance-use education, and collaborative care planning. He is skilled at building trust with adolescents and families while connecting them to the resources they need.
